Material

During testing of GRANIT double heart shares, a material investigation using optical emission spectroscopy, plus a hardness analysis, was carried out. This test led to the conclusion that an engineering steel (26 Mn Cr 6-3) with a hardness of 521 (HV1) is used. The use of this material in conjunction with the high hardness value means that the double heart share is highly wear-resistant, but flexible enough to perform well in adverse soil conditions.
